Scratch Cinema featuring DJ Spooky Exploding Cinema seeks to redefine and expand the notion of the cinematic experience by incorporating live DJ sets with video to create a unique and ephemeral experience. For this performance, Spaceboat incorporated flash animations, recorded video, computer aided and live cameras, and a newly created animation program from a variety of Seattle based new media artists into a live set of visual projections on the EMP video wall. The event was also webcast live by Spaceboat in partnership with Real Networks for viewing on Real Network's Real Guide, as well as the web sites of DJ Spooky, the EMP, and of course, on Spaceboat TV.
